2 Samuel 21:19
There are those that use the fact that the phrase “the brother of” in 2 Samuel 21:19 is in italics to condemn the Bible as being in error as it is not in the Hebrew at that position. However, it is in the Hebrew in 1 Chronicles 20:5.
1 Chronicles 20:5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver’s beam.
The translators of the KJV did not make a mistake, they clarified the Hebrew.
