What do you think of Paul’s instructions to drink wine not water, eat meat, and not exercise?

1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

It does not say not to exercise; it gives a comparison that physical, bodily, serving the flesh, exercise is of little profit in the long run, but exercising godliness is profitable in all things.

It does not say that you must eat meat, but that there is no prohibition from eating meat.

1 Timothy 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

The wine recommended to Timothy was for the medical problems he was having.

1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

Note that it was a little wine and it would have been new, non-alcoholic, wine as fermented wine is not good for your health.
